بِسْمِ اللّہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
In fact it is very much difficult to explain this topic from each angle however,it would be tried our best level to elaborate it in a very very efficient way so that every sort of reader may be benefited.
Let’s see the first angle of this topic from Islamic perspective.
Parents and elders have enormous responsibility in terms of teaching and bringing up their children according to the guidelines of QURAN and teachings and traditions of our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).
The Prophet (SAW) said:
“Allah (SWT) will ask every caretaker about the people under his care, and the man will be asked about the people of his household” (Nasa’i, Abu Da’ud).”
Character building and making his habits of your children in the light of Quran and Hadith from a young age is very important. When a child is young, he or she is the most impressionable and absorbs knowledge just as how its taught.
A quote from Al-Ghazali that:
A child is a trust (placed by Allah) in the hands of his parents, and his innocent heart is a precious element capable of taking impressions.
Parents or Grandparents may not have accurate information as they may not have gone to classes for all aspects of Islam. Creating a bond with Allah and love for the Sunnah is more important then any other form of education. Being a Muslim we are responsible if our child is living and practicing something wrong about Islam.
To keep Islam close to the heart of our kids we should send them in any Islamic institution where formal Islamic education enables a child to learn about Islam from trained and learned teachers and from reliable resources provided for them.
For parents and teachers it is very much necessary to teach children foundations of prophetic Education.When these children learn foundations of Prophetic Education they would be able to implement Islamic laws the rest of life and they also be attached with golden principles of Islam.Let’s see the foundations;
The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) strove to convey the key principles of Islam to His companions.
The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) taught society dealing with such sort of areas which are deeply concerned as Knowledge, health, prayer, the environment, good manners, support for one’s family, politics, government, and finance etc.
These ahadith are the guidelines for how to conduct one’s life as a member of a cohesive society.
Being a Muslim we should be very much careful regarding our children upbringing and we should try our best level to build the foundations of our young generation enough strong so that that they may compete with any sort of hard and tough situations. Here the details of foundations are given under-mentioned.
The first concept concerns the five pillars of Islam:
*1)* To testify that none has the right to be worshiped but ALLAH (SWT) and that Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is ALLAH’S (SWT) Messenger.(of course)
*2)* To perform the prayers
*3)* To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity)
*5)* To perform a Hajj (i.e. a pilgrimage to Makkah). *(Al-Bukhari, 2000,volume 1,Book 2, No.7*)
Now question rises that how a child can learn these foundations in early age?
The answer for this question is: in early age a child has a strong sensation, Perception, memory power and enough seeking skills so when we teach foundations a child foundation would be enough strong and would be towards Islam because he or she will perceive Islamic studies in early age and when a child become adult that child would be able to implement Islamic laws in his life and he or she will be enough known towards Islam.
Muslims are required to participate in all five areas.
In Islam, humans have no original sin.The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said, *”Every child is born with a disposition towards the natural religion (i.e. Islam: submission to the Divine will).Your parents make you a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian”*.
Reference:- *(_Al-Bukhari,2000, volume 2, Book 23, No.449)*
Thus, every child is born free from sin.
Change and personal growth come from within; behavior does not improve spontaneously.Muslims are required to persist in modifying unacceptable behaviors, and to follow up bad deeds with good deeds in order to atone for transgressions.ALLAH (SWT) Says, *”Verily never will ALLAH (SWT) Change the condition of a people until they change it themselves ( with their own souls)”. ( 13:11)*.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SUMMARY:-
The prophetic teachings are like an instruction manual for how to conduct one’s life. Many are very specific, others leave some room for interpretation.Correct interpretation of these guidelines, however, is essential to knowing how to conduct one’s life.
